We are thankful for the progress of our student center project. We designated October as pledge month and the last Sunday of October as commitment Sunday.
Approximately 23% of our congregation has made a contribution or a pledge to give in the coming months bringing the total amount raised to $334,407.92 as of this week. We are thankful to God and to the families and individuals who have participated until now. We celebrate this milestone!
We thank the campaign committee, which consists of Patrick Moore, Aurora Estrada, Vicky De La Garza, Sorheida Perez, Enid Olson, Hector Garza, Charles Marina, Fred Schuster, Reba Showers, Marissa Courtney, Gustavo Serrano, David Heflin, Jose Luis Jimenez and Gilberto Rocha, for their support and for their work toward this goal.
Our staff and the design committee is working on next steps in this project. Please keep them in prayer as plans are finalized, phases are decided, and contractors are engaged. We will keep you posted of the progress through the Student Center Project Website.
In addition to the design committee, Pastors Julio, Paulo and Marcus are working on enlisting an advisory team of people in our church whose wisdom and experience can help us as we move forward with the renovation project. We will share more about this at our Church in Conference this upcoming November 18 at 6:30 PM in the Student Center.
