Pastoral Resident in Missions

    You may recall Ronald Sanchez was invited to join our staff team as an Associate Minister of Missions through a joint partnership with the BGCT and our local Baptist Student Ministry.  The term for this commitment ran from August 2021 - July 2023.  Ronald has been a fantastic addition to our team, particularly in a season when we do not have a full time Missions Pastor.  

    As we began exploring the possibility of extending him another year, we learned that the Convention is no longer funding the Associate Minister of Missions positions.  However, sensing that we continue to need Ronald’s help for our missions ministry at this time, and while staying within our existing budget allocations, we have created a new position for him as Pastoral Resident in Missions.

    So we’re pleased to announce that Ronald Sanchez will be extending his commitment to our staff for one more year, July 2023 through June 2024.  As our Pastoral Resident in Missions, Ronald will continue to have opportunities to grow in his leadership over missions responsibilities within our GO strategy such as promoting Short-Term mission trips, leading evangelism training, organizing a new members class, and supporting our Young Adult ministry.  He will serve Part-time with Calvary while continuing to serve Part-time with the BSM.  

    We are thankful we get to continue having Ronald’s creative and dedicated service to the Kingdom of Jesus through Calvary!
