Josh Rainha to FBC Hinton, Oklahoma

Last Sunday, July 18, First Baptist Church, Hinton, Oklahoma voted to call Josh and Maddie Rainha to be their full-time Youth Pastors.  Josh and Maddie will be going to camp with FBC's youth and moving to Oklahoma in a couple of weeks.

We congratulate Josh and Maddie as they follow God's call in ministry.  We are thankful for the various ways in which they served God here at Calvary.  Josh and Maddie poured into the lives of our students and our young adults.  Josh also served as worship leader for the student worship service called Remedy and for our Classic service on Sundays.

Josh came through our student ministry since Middle School and developed as a disciplemaker and leader.  As he surrendered to God's call on his life for vocational ministry, he became one of Calvary's pastoral ministry interns. Earlier this year Josh transitioned from his Classic service role to missions mobilization.  Josh and Maddie mobilized young adults to serve across the Valley, including ministering at the Respite Center in downtown McAllen.

We are very grateful for their service with such dedication and love at Calvary McAllen.  We love them too.

We will greatly miss Josh and Maddie.  Yet we rejoice that the kingdom of God will continue to grow as disciplemakers go out and follow his call.  We pray for the best of God's blessing on their future ministry.

Josh will preach in Calvary's English services on Sunday, August 8, when we will also pray for them as they move to the next season of their ministry.

  1. Josh Rainha was destine to be a pastor. He is an amazing human being, he and his mom Lisa help my son Joshua Holley and me in one of our darkest moment. His love and kindness were so incredibly. I praise God and rejoice that his heart desire has come to past. He will be an amazing youth pastor. I will pray for him, his beautful wife and his ministry always.
